The Devil Made Me Do It
Today I worked overtime, no problem,
I admit to being a Workaholic.
I keep food on the table,
My family appreciates that, Im sure,
And if they dont, they should.
My lifes good, so is theirs.
I hop in my new car,
Work for today is almost over.
Called my wife, be home soon.
Told her I had a meeting.
Less than a mile from home.
I turned left instead of right.
The meetings close, I didnt lie.
I dont lie to my wife.
But I sometimes bend the truth.
I pull up to a house,
My sons friend lives next door.
Im not meeting them today, though.
I sneak around to the back.
